DOLORES M. KERN (Age 86)
On Monday, June 19, 2017, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of the late Richard N. Kern, Sr.; mother of Robert, Joseph, Constance, John, Eric and the late Richard, Jr. Also survived by 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Sister of Jack, Bob, Mike, and the late Bill Mitchell. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), On Monday, June 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Andrew Apostle Church, Arcola Ave. and Kemp Mill Rd., Silver Spring, MD, on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. I have many fond memories of Mrs. Kern growing up in the Kenbrook Court/Hoyt Street neighborhood. A beautiful lady with a great spirit. May God give you comfort in these trying times.

My deepest condolences to my Robert, Joe, Connie, John and Eric and your families. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Your mom was a beautiful person inside and out. Such fond memories of your family's visits to KC and my visit there many years ago. I will never forget Aunt Delores' kindness when my dad passed away 27 years ago. He loved his sister so very much. Now, they are reunited in heaven.
