DORIS M. KELLY (Age 90)
On Tuesday, May 31, 2016, of Silver Spring, MD, formerly of Kensington, MD. Beloved wife of the late Richard R. Kelly; mother of Timothy (Florence), Richard, Jr. (Anne) and Kathleen Kelly; sister of Jack Keefe. Also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking) Monday, June 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Redeemer Church, Summit Ave. and Cable Drive, Kensington, MD, on Tuesday, June 7 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Doris was a true gift to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her limitless generosity, cheerful spirit, and steadfast faith enriched my life in countless ways. The support that she and her husband, Richard (Dick) Kelly, gave to homeless individuals and families in Montgomery County was an enduring example of selfless love. During my career with the Montgomery County Government, Doris and Dick were stalwart and tireless partners in our efforts to make life better for our homeless brothers and sisters who turned to us for help. May Doris rest in God's peace and light. It was a blessing to know her, Dick, and their family.
