Edward J. Dyer (Age 95)
On Wednesday, November 4, 2015, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of the late Helen O'Donnell Dyer; father of Michael J. Dyer (Cheryl) and Robert E. Dyer (Doreen); brother of the late Rev. Ralph J. Dyer, SM; grandfather of Michael (Sadie), Katharine, Lindsay and Matthew. Also survived by other loving family and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Monday, November 9, from 2 to 4 p.m. and at Our Lady of Grace Church, 15661 Norbeck Blvd., Silver Spring, MD, on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, from 10:30 to 11 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Dear Dyer family.....My family and I have a long relationship with Ed and Helen Dyer or "Uncle Ed" and "Aunt Helen" as we liked to call them as my sister, brother and I grew up. My folks, John and Gwen Greene, along with the rest of us,(Alan, Laura and me, Lisa) have so many fond memories of family get togethers with them always right there with us smiling and laughing. We often talk about them playing bridge together and Dad and "Uncle Ed" changing the outcome to their advantage whenever our Mom and "Aunt Helen" would go to the kitchen!! In fact, Dad and I were just talking about that today. Please accept, on behalf of our entire family, our thoughts and prayers...

I was so sorry to hear about your sweet Dad and sorry I was not able to make it to the funeral home with Mom and Kay! Your Dad (and Mom) were such wonderful friends to my parents and we all loved him so much! I will keep you in my prayers!

To Mike, Rob, and Family, We were so sorry to hear about Uncle Ed passing. He was such a beautiful man. Had some special times with him that we will never forget. He is now together with Aunt Helen. May he rest in peace. Our love, thoughts and prayers are with all of you. God Bless.
