Coach Ed was my football coach for a few years. A tough man that really cared about the kids and tried to do right by them. He kept kids involved in football and out of trouble, and worked very hard just to ensure there was a program for kids to play. always someone we could count on. Coach Ed definitely touched our lives and I'll always remember him fondly and respectfully for that.

There are friends you make online that you will never meet, but they are still a part of your life. You made many playing War Commander and they will all miss you. My thoughts are with your family at this heartbreaking time. RIP Ed

Leslie - I was so sad to hear of both your mother's and Ed's passing. I'm sending lots of long distance hugs to you, and I'll save a few for the next time we "do" lunch.

The internet is an amazing invention...brings two people together whose paths would probably have never crossed. I never met Ed in real life, but for 2 years he was a good friend. We spoke almost everyday, about something or another... a good friend..a bro..and a teammate.."War Commander" just won't be the same... RIP my friend.

My deepest sympathies go out to the Donovan family. Though I have not seen Ed for a long while, I consider him my good friend. He reached out his hand to me at the beginning of my career, giving me an opportunity to be all that I could be in my profession. When I think of Ed, I can't help but smile, remembering the funny times, as well as the hard work, that I enjoyed while for Executive Court Reporters. Ed, you may be gone from this Earth, but you will aways remain in my heart. You are a kindred spirit. Sweet blessings to you, my friend.
