Dr. GEORGE WELLS DRUMWRIGHT (Age 92)
On Tuesday, November 22, 2016, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband for 68 years of Mary Ann Drumwright; father of Marie D. Pepper (William J.), George W. Drumwright, Jr. (Anna Gilcher) and Janet Lee Powers (Edward J.); brother of the late Ralph L. Drumwright; grandfather of Joshua W. and Jason C. Pepper, Alexander W. and Nicholas J. Ward, Beatrice R. and Julian T. Drumwright. Also survived by five great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at the home of Marie Pepper on Sunday, December 18, 2016, from 1 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the National Capital Trolley Museum, 1313 Bonifant Rd., Silver Spring, MD 20905. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

Wells was a cherished friend at the National Capital Trolley Museum. I was delighted to hear him tell of a boyhood friend he traveled the rails with as a teenager only to find that the friend was an anesthesiologist that I had worked with in surgery for several years in Salisbury. I always enjoyed Wells stories and his love of family. He spoke often of his childen, grandchildren and great grands. He was so proud of them. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers of comfort are with you, Mary Ann and all of your family.
