In a profession that has many egos and intense personalities, Gerry was a true gentleman. He always carried himself with dignity and treated everyone, from the boss to the intern with equal respect. I was honored to work with Gerry for the years I was at SBA. He taught me many lessons that I will carry throughout my career and I know I'm not the only one that feels that way. He was a mentor to me and many other architects. My heart goes out to the Tritschler family. He will be deeply missed. I hope you can take some solace in what you already know: Gerry was one of the good guys.

I am saddened to hear of Gerry's passing. I first met Gerry many years ago when he worked at Morris Architects in Houston and even called on him in 1986 at Shalom Baranes when my family was considering opening a reprographics shop in D.C. Larry and Cindy Burns made my wife, Janna, and I aware of Gerry's illness a few months ago and I have been praying for him. Gerry was a wonderful person who no doubt will be missed by many. My condolences and prayers go out to you and your family, Margy.

Gerry was my co-worker, mentor, and friend. We worked together for the past five years on the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial. It was a privilege to work with him and benefit from his professional knowledge but most of all, his kindness. I am so very sorry for your loss, Margy, Claire, John and Elizabeth. He will be greatly missed.

Margy, Gerry and you generously shared your time and blessings with Uncle Jimmy. I was fortunate to sit with Gerry and your family around the Thanksgiving dinner, at which time, I was grateful to meet your mother, and your daughters Claire, and Elizabeth with her husband Matt. I attended the dedication of the The American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial Plaza with Matt Kirwin and his family and hear President Obama's remarks among the many compliments for our veterans. Thanks for sharing the pictures from your walk to defeat ALS on the mall. Best to you and your family.

John,
May God give you His comfort and peace during this difficult time. I pray that the deep which your Father lived on earth and the knowledge of the life he now enjoys with God in heaven be your strength in the days to come. Be assured of my continued prayers for you and your family, especially at Mass.
Love,
Uncle John
