AIDA JOSEPH SMITH  01/09/1926 ~ 05/10/2013  
Born in the West Indies, raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Moved to Washington, DC in late 1950s where she met and married husband, Garland Smith, who predeceased her in 1996. She worked for the American Cancer Society in the 1970s followed by Arrow General, a federal contractor in the 1980s. She is survived by son Nelson Sanders (Cecelia), daughters Maria Victoria (Ramon), Margaret West (Geoffrey) and niece (raised as daughter) Josefina Joseph; brother James Joseph; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, close friends, and extended family. Predeceased by brothers Robert Josephson and Carlos Joseph. Viewing and services to be held at Collins Funeral Home, Silver Spring, Maryland, Thursday, May 16 commencing at 10 a.m.
