On Saturday, November 2, 2013, of Rockville, MD. Beloved husband for 55 years of Patricia M. Ridgway; father of Mark C. (Kathryn), Edward A. (Shirley) and Douglas E. Ridgway (Wendy); grandfather of Cassidy, Justin and Mason. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), on Tuesday, November 12, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial Service at Oakdale Emory United Methodist Church Historic Chapel, Georgia Ave. & Emory Church Rd., Olney, MD, on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment Norbeck Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Children's Inn at NIH, 7 West Dr., Bethesda, MD 20814 or to JSSA Hospice, 200 Wood Hill Rd., Rockville, MD 20850. Charly was the best patient I have ever had. With tears in my eyes right now let me just say I miss him so much.I just can't believe you are gone. Rest in peace Charly. My thoughts and prayers are with the Ridgway family.

My deepest sympathy to Pat & Charlie's Boys. He was a wonderful person and I will miss talking to him every June 1 and November 2.
Charlie was a special kind of friend to all that know him and we can never replace his friendship.

A great man who will be missed dearly. Mr. Ridgway was so kind and had a wonderful spirit. May that carry on through his sons and grandchildren! I was fortunate to know him, my deepest sympathies.
