ELLEN O'CONNELL "Nellie"
On Tuesday, February 12, 2013, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of the late Thomas A. O'Connell; mother of Dennis and Ed O'Connell and Peggy Laferty; mother-in-law of Steve Laferty; grandmother of Ted and Claire O'Connell; sister of Joan McAuliffe, Peggy Flynn, Sonny Boyle and the late Mary Fitzgerald, Patrick Boyle, and Bartholomew Boyle. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Church, 15661 Norbeck Blvd, Silver Spring, MD, on Saturday, February 16, at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Dennis, Eddy, Peggy and Families, I am at a loss for adequate words to express my grief for you all. I had the blessed opportunity of knowing your mother, whom I called Nellie, and I know heaven just received one of its most special angels. Each of you are a reflection of your mother in the way you treat people with respect and empathy, not to mention the way you make each person feel loved. May sweet memories of the gem that your mother was encourage you all at this time.
I loved your Mother and I am so sorry for your loss.
