FRANCIS MICHAEL PASSARELLI
On Wednesday, August 29, 2012, of Silver Spring, formerly of Frostburg, MD. Beloved husband of Alice Passarelli; father of Carla Passarelli. Survived by his sister Mary Susan and brother-in-law Dan Dilley; his brothers Paul Passarelli, Joseph Passarelli and the late Msgr. Robert Passarelli; and by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Frank was a graduate of St. Francis College and a WWII veteran. He received the American & European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbons with 4 Bronze Stars, Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct, Bronze Star & WWII Victory Medals. He was the Vice Chairman of FHLBB and CFO of Standard Federal Bank. He also was an active member of The Knights of Columbus, The Society of the Fifth Division U.S. Army, Disabled American Veterans and The American Legion. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Tuesday, September 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, 12319 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, on Wednesday, September 5, at 1:30 p.m. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

To Frank's family:
I first met Frank in the late 1950's when he was a FHLB examiner. Later when I became the CEO of Interstate Federal, our relationship deepened. Frank was always available to discuss regulatory issues and he usually came up with a helpful solution to any problems. I know that his family and friends will miss his sweet spirit. God bless his memory.

Mrs. Passarelli:
My deepest sympathy in the loss of your husband Frank. Frank and Bob Littler hired me when I started with the Federal Home Loan Bank Board on 08-15,1971. He was a great and kind person and I will always remember him.
