George was a wonderful man and we were incredibly lucky to have him as a patient. Everytime he walked in the door the office got brighter and he put a smile on everyone's face. His stories, outlook on life, and general demeanor will always be an inspiration to all of us at Palmercare Chiropractic. He will be greatly missed.

George,
As the last honor due to you is about to be rendered, we are filled with
gratitude for your friendship.
Although tragically we are now unable to continue that friendship in person, rest assured that the exemplary life you led will continue to inspire us to try to be there for your family in their time of need. We pray that your spirit in this knowledge can rest in peace.
Reading over all the tributes dedicated to you in the newspaper, I was struck by all the different superlatives that your family, friends, professional colleagues, and neighbors used to describe your qualities. Starting with almost every letter of the alphabet these qualities were integrated into one big-good-natured-down-to-earth-stand-up guy who created good vibrations, vibrations that ripple through all of the lives that yours touched.
Yiddish, the Eastern European Jewish world's language that my family grew up with can be very expressive and earthy but it can also be very economical. If a person is blessed over the years he may be allowed to
acquire admirable attributes like you from A to Z that exhibit his good hearted and humored devotion to family, neighborhood, community, and his Creator. Such a person espouses by the conduct of his life the notion that a good deed's doing is for the Common Good and that its reward is simply in having had the ability to contribute; having no other motive. Yiddish economically calls such a person a "Mensch" which melds all positive human qualities into the highest complement that our tradition bestows; our "medal of honor" if you will.
Thus a "Mensch" is God's representative in the world, worthy of emulation and amplifying God's desire for a better society worthy of His blessings. George you were the "real deal", a real Human Being. We were blessed to know you. We send our heart felt condolences to your dear family in friendship. May they find comfort from the good vibrations and memories that a real "Mensch" like you bequeathed them and us.
Sincerely and on behalf of his family
who enjoyed your company greatly over the course of many years,
Lawrence Bates

George was a very caring and devoted man to his family and his chosen life. Sometimes we are drawn into the life of caring for someone else and sometime we choose this life. George gave his whole life to the care and easement of pain of others. God will reward him for his self sacrifice. I remember the days at the Fire Station #3 when cooking for the med crew (as we all know they were always on the road)George did not want any seeds left in his tomatoes, and please have plenty of bread available. Let George have plenty of Bread in heaven Lord. He sure deserves it. Sorry I could not attend the funeral, but you will be in our prayers. Your Friends, Larry and Wilma Bates and Amy Coffey.

George is a uniquely positive and great natured person. I know of no one who is or was all that George was in the kindness, caring and compassion parts of life. The impact he had on our fire department can not be measured in words. Simply stated George Brown is a great man!

I didn't know the blessings awaiting me when I became Emaline's and Eric's second grade teacher at Bel Pre School. That was when I had the privilege of getting to know George and Joy Brown. They were the kind of parents all teachers dreamed of having for room parents. There was something special about George. It was one of those things you couldn't see or touch, or measure , but something you could feel and wanted to be a part of. George was a peaceful man and just his presence and the sound of his voice commanded respect from staff and students alike. He had a sense of knowing when his presence was needed and I am so grateful for all of the times he was there for me. I never had to ask him to help out in the classroom or chaperone a fieldtrip. He would always volunteer. The children loved him and all of them wanted to sit next to him on the bus when we were on a fieldtrip and to listen to the stories he told. I remember the time George quietly came into my classroom and fixed the clock on my wall which had not been keeping the correct time. Just as quietly as he entered, he left, never saying a word.
Many of us remember the staff cook-outs at the end of the school year, the green mailboxes beside the door of each classroom. One could just look and know that this too was a part of the joy that George brought wherever he went.
George was my friend and I am so glad to have known him. I will miss him. See you later my friend.

George and I were acquaintances at Albert Einstein High School but became traveling buddies - bussing, walking, carpooling as the need arose between Kensington and Montgomery College. We just enjoyed each other's company; I particularly remember hiking the last several miles into Kensington singing "Truckin'" by the Grateful Dead. Always a decent, kind, humorous guy.

George was such a kind man. When he would come visit in Utah my girls always looked for his hugs and smiles. My oldest girl and Clair are best friends out here, and upon hearing of Papa's passing, Reese told her mom with a smile on her face that now Luke has his Papa in heaven. The prayers of the Welker family are with you at this time.

It always surprised me that such a deep, deep voice came from such a soft, kind and caring man.George was so welcoming, always inviting me to come visit in Maryland. I'll never forget him taking the time to talk to me about personal trials, always reminding me to hand it over to the Lord. What an example! My heart breaks for the Brown family. My love to all of you.

George..
I am so very saddened and shocked, by your loss. I will always remember you for your kind, caring nature, your positive outlook on life, and the way you always made me, my daughter, and granddaughters feel so welcomed in your home, and in your life. I am so grateful that I was able to spend time with you and your family on Memorial Day. You were so easy to talk to, and be around. The great love and pride you had for your family, was always evident. I will keep them all in my thoughts and prayers, as they go through this immensely difficult time, of dealing with your physical loss. May they find comfort in their memories, and know you will always be there in spirit. You will be truly missed by so many....God Bless you George. May you rest in peace.

George...
I am saddened, and shocked, by the news of your loss. I will always remember you for your kind, caring nature, your positive attitude towards life, and the way you always made me, my daughter, and grandkids, feel so welcomed in your home. The love and pride you had for your family was quite evident, and it's something they will be able to cherish forever.
My sincere love and prayers go out to your family, as they try to come to terms, with a life, without you physically in it. I know you will always be there in spirit, and the memories they have will keep you alive in their hearts.
You will truly be missed by many, including me. May you rest in peace........Love, Laura

The sweetest man one could ever meet. Next door neighbor who was truly a "neighbor" like the one you knew years ago. "That guy" in the neighborhood who looked out for your children and made them wear their bike helmets, knew a lot about a lot of things, was always there when you needed help with anything and decorated his huge blue spruce for Christmas each year to get us all in the Christmas Spirit. Plowed your driveway with his new snow blower every year, or did the countless other things for you that you didn't even know about just because he cared. But most of all he treated us all like family because that was George's way....giving way more than he ever received. Thanks George.

George and his colleague Walter conducted our CERT training in Fairfax City earlier this year. George went out of his way to make sure that we were well-trained and prepared for the tasks at hand. He was a delight to work and train with. Our thoughts and prayers are with George's family during this time of mourning and remembrance.

Fred was such a wonderful man and cousin. I have many fond memories of him coming to MA to visit our family. Although I did not see him often, it never felt that way. He was always so much fun and just a joy to talk to and be with. He was so giving and thoughtful to everyone around him. Just a real treasure to all of us that were fortunate enough to have him in our lives. He will be deeply missed. My heart and prayers go out to Joy, Emeline and Eric.

George,
Your service to your communities of Wheaton and Fairfax City, were and are very commendable. I had the privilege of serving with you when you were with the Wheaton Vol. Rescue Squad, now so many years ago. The last time we saw one another was at the Watergate, when I was there on another of my capacities. We had a great conversation, and it was just like no time had past. Please save me a place next to or near you up there.

George was a very unique, caring, articulate, friendly and dedicated professional. I will always remember as having the pleasure of knowing and working with George when I was the Chief of the Fairfax Volunteer Fire Department. His knowledge, wisdom and compassion touched the lives of hundreds of people. The great J R R Tolkien wrote:"Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends". In other words, and in my view, George was called home so that he could continue his courageous acts of heroism, compassion, and caring of all who he will see, encounter and meet in the Heavens that most of us, as humans, think about exists after life ends here on Earth. Rest in peace Brother. Thank you, again, for giving so much of yourself, selflessly, to your family, the dozens, if not hundreds of friends, coworkers and others over the last few decades. Billy

George was the anchor in our neighborhood, always smiling and offering a friendly hello to anyone who passed by. He enjoyed life to the fullest and set an example for all of us. The Christmas tree he took hours to light each year reflected the love and friendship he expressed to everyone. He will be missed by so many but always remembered.

George~
You are a cousin that I deeply admire. Your positive outlook on life leaves me with an impression that will last a lifetime... Thank you for the wonderful talks and Memorial Day BBQ tradition that will never feel the same without you there. The girls and I are so grateful for the memories shared with you.
With all of our loving thoughts and prayers going out to our family, there are not enough words to express how much you meant to so many. With such sadness~ We miss you already. We love you.
