On Saturday, May 11, 2013, of Fort Belvoir, VA and Colesville, MD. Beloved wife of Lee Himes; mother of Kathy Himes Finlay, Kenneth Himes, and Karen Himes (Christopher) Walsh; sister of Edward Ringley and Karen Dunlop. Also survived by five grandchildren; Courtney, Mackenzie and Mallory Walsh and Shannon and Austin Himes. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Tuesday, May 14, from 2 until 4 p.m. and from 7 until 9 p.m. Funeral Service at Colesville Baptist Church, 13100 Andrew Drive, Silver Spring, MD, on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 beginining at 11 a.m. Interment Parklawn Memorial Park. I was a classmate of Karen's for twelve years as we were enrolled in grade school and high school together in Appalachia. I knew Janice, who was a kind and special person.
