Jean was a tremendous mentor and friend to me in my many years working with him at EIA. He taught me much of what I know about association management and helped me pave the way for a wonderful career in my own right. He was the quintessential professional and a role model for anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. In a quiet and dedicated way, he commanded the respect of his board members and peers alike. I was blessed to have known and worked with him.

We will dearly miss our great neighbor who we loved since we moved next door 14 years ago. Our boys loved him and we have lost a valued friend. May he rest in peace.

My heart is aching for Jeannie, Suzanne ,and my Uncle Jean's family and friends who loved him so dearly. I will always remember the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter feasts at the Bayside, East Meadow, and Killingworth homes with Jean, JoAnn and my cousins Suzy Jeannie and Peter. Jean and my dad always "performed" a "weigh in" after the meals, and I can still hear all the laughter from those gatherings! We missed the Caffiauxs terribly after their move to Maryland, but there were still visits between Long Island NY and Silver Spring. I am proud that he served in the US Army, and have great memories of upstate NY ("Camp"). I was so impresssed that he played the trombone in a local band. Truly he made my world and our world a better place. Rest in peace, dear uncle.

We will miss having Jean as our next door neighbor for the last 30 years. He always had a smile and was a very grateful man. Thanks for servicing our country, proudly!!

Jean and JoAnn were such good friends, and I enjoyed being with them on the trip to Austria in '99. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
