JULIE JANKOWSKI Obituary


JULIA GERTRUDE JANKOWSKI  (Age 93)  
Passed away, peacefully, on Sunday, August 18, 2013. Born in McCartney, PA on January 12, 1920, she was one of twelve children of Bertha and James Frisco. Julia moved to MD at age 16 and graduated from Hyattsville High School. She worked for C & P Telephone Company for 38 years and was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Beloved wife of the late Michael Jankowski. She is survived by siblings, Elnora Gloss, Dolores Smith and Robert Frisco (Nancy) and many loving nieces, nephews and grand- nieces and nephews. Aunt Gertie loved to play golf, to cook and to be with her family. She will be dearly missed. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD on Thursday, August 22 from 10 to 11 a.m., where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
