Mary brought great joy and kindness to this world. She was always quick with a laugh and a helping hand. Her spirit will be missed. I will keep your family in my thoughts.

How fortunate for all of you family members to have had Mary with you. Although I did not know her, clearly, from your testimony, Mary was a beautiful person. Perhaps I too will some day enjoy her company.

I regrettably will not be able to attend the Memorial Service. As a close friend and cowrker of the Smith Boys it would have been a good time to reconnect with old friends. My deepest condolences to the family.

The day that Mary married my cousin Jack was one of the happiest times of my life because she was one of my dearest friends. I have enjoyed many happy times with her wonderful family. God blesses us with the fact that this kind of joy lives in our hearts forever and becomes part of the beautiful fabric of our lives.
My love to all of Mary's family.

Mary was like a mother to me and I will NEVER forget her for the chances she gave me to grow professionally when she opened her travel agency in Gaithersburg in the early '70's. She gave me inspiration to believe in myself and know that I had the capability to start a woman-owned business. Every St. Patrick's Day I thought fondly about her, knowing that she was making the most of it wherever she was. I will be there on Saturday to celebrate her life and gifts to all of us.

I wish I could join you at the service and Irish party. How appropriate for someone like Mary. She loved St. Patrick's Day. Yes, her spirit will live on.
