On Sunday, September 30, 2012, of Wheaton, MD. Beloved wife of the late Wm Earl Pumphrey; mother of Deborah Shields and Kevin Pumphrey; grandmother of Jeremy Shields. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Wednesday, from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, October 4 at St. Andrew Apostle Church, 11600 Kemp Mill Rd, Silver Spring, MD, from 10 to 11 a.m., where Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

Dear Debbie, Kevin and Family,
Ernie, Ernie R, Dan and I wanted to tell you how sorry we are to hear about the passing of your Mom. Mildred was like our second Mom and Grandma. I always could call her for advice and to have a good chat after we moved to CA. She meant the world to our family and we will miss her so much. We have so many wonderful memories of our times with her on Henderson. We feel honored to have known such a grand, wonderful, kind, geneous and loving woman. May God be with you during this difficult time.
