As your work continues Ms. Gray, I know the Lord God has told you, "well done My good and faithful servant" because you truly made God's work here on earth your own. Pray for all those who believe that LIFE is not only a constitutional right, but a gift from God! Pray for us Nellie Gray.

On this 40th anniversary of the event that made her famous, the March goes on without Ms. Gray.

Here was a gutsy lady. She devoted her life to speaking out for the right to life of every human being. She also inspired so many to join in the great work of protecting every human life especially the most vulnerable. What a great vision. We love you, Nellie

"Well done, thou good and faithful servant!"

For now we see through a glass, darkly, but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13: 12&13 ~Debra Stine, FL

The Lord once told His disciples, “You are the salt of the earth” (Mt 5:13). With this expression, Jesus refered to all Christians, but especially to those called to labor in His vineyard. Nellie Gray was called to save the lives of babies waiting to be born. Those who were aborted will be greeting her in Heaven. God bless you Nellie. From Michigan Christians for Life

Nellie Gray was a great lady, a fearless fighter for the unborn and a dear friend. Nellie did not live long enough to see Roe vs Wade obliterated, but she has left an army of prolife activists who will carry out this task until it is accomplished.

God bless you Nellie -

Interesting that Nellie's passion for the unborn has been compared with the Old Testament heroine Esther. Since Nellie was 86 when she passed on, I was curious what chapter 8 vs 6 of the Book of Esther said.
It reads:
'For how can I endure the murdering and slaughter of my people?'
Nellie couldn't, and her life is a testament to those she wished to protect.

Nelly was a heroic woman who set an outstanding example of faith in God, courage to speak for the voiceless and dedication to the pro-life cause. She encouraged us in Canada to start a March For Life in our nation's capital which we have held for the last 15 years.

She impressed upon us that where abortion is concerned there is to be no compromise – no exceptions.

Her legacy will continue until the return of a culture of life in the United States.

May dear Nellie now intercede, along with all of the beautiful pre-born babies and even those wrongly euthanized due to illness or age, from their heavenly home, for all of the wonderful people who have commented and will comment in this guestbook - your touchingly TRUE tributes to this courageous woman who provided us with the mandate to continue her work, are so inspirational. Thank you, Bishop Foley, for offering Mass, the most perfect gift of prayer, for Nellie, and to Fr. Frank Pavone, for his heartfelt, compassionate words. Our loss is heaven's gain...and what pure joy and beauty Nellie now experiences! Well-done, Nellie, may you one day be there to welcome us all into the heavenly kingdom, where we shall all glorify God with His Angels and His Saints. And, as Nellie said on the Gift of Life, 'No Compromises, No Exceptions'. AMEN!

May the Lord welcome Nellie Gray into Paradise and raise up women and men to follow her example and stand up for the sanctity of unborn human life and the constitutional protections of life that this human life deserves.

Nellie led the 'March on Washington' every year with attendance lately numbering in the hundreds of thousands. The early women 'founders' such as Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, et al., were adamantly pro-life.
Nellie stood for the dignity of women and the protection of the weakest among us. She will be greatly missed. May she intercede for the cause of life before God's throne.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Ms. Gray. Perhaps we will never understand the dynamic influence she left on so many lives. Ecclesiastes 7:1 emphasizes this well when it says: "A name is better than good oil, and the day of death than the day of one's being born." May the friends and family find strength during this difficult time.

Nellie....Since the first March for Life you have inspired me and my family enormously. We thank you for your dedication to LIFE. I know that you will continue to help us fight the battle for the unborn children and their mothers who are victims in this horrible national crime. You will be missed but there will be many children who will forever remember your dedicated life for them....Your name will be forever in our hearts..............

I was greatly saddened to hear of the death of Nellie Gray. She lead the March for Life for 38 years, which has been a very major and visible voice for the unborn, those innocent victims who are the ones least able to speak for themselves. May her legacy live on. I extend my condolences to her family.
