PATRICK HENRY TOPPS (Age 93)
On Tuesday, October 9, 2012, of Kensington, MD. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Aman; father of Patricia Gutches, William Topps, Margaret Topps, Kevin Topps and Charles Topps; brother of John Topps. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and other loving family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to Sisters of Charity of St. Elizabeth, P.O. Box 476, Convent Rd., Convent Station, NJ 07961-0476. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

As Ellen so aptly expressed, Hank was among the greatest of "the greatest Generation" and we shall all miss him and the understated wisdom he imparted in his classic Tink one liners. June swears that it was only through his saintly intercession that A-Rod was taken out of the game last night.
