Although 10 years have gone by since Rose left us, I still find happy memories of her come to mind.

I loved her smile, her stories of her family and her travels, and, as a "scrabble friend", I loved the challenge and pleasure of playing with her each week. Indeed, she was a very special lady and I shall cherish her memory.

I have very fond memories of growing up next door to the Prakases. Rose was like a grandmother to me, asking me how my day was, inviting my sister and me to come spend time with them after school and on weekends, as they cooked in their kitchen, or looked after their grandchildren. She was always cheerful and always had words of love and encouragement. I will miss her very much. Love to all of the Prakas family.

If ever there was an angel sent from heaven to be in our family, it was my beautiful sister Rose. She had the gift of Love, Peace and Joy and always was willing to share her gifts with anyone in need. She was an inspiration and a great example in my life and I shall treasure the wonderful memories we shared. When I become saddened by thoughts of her, those thoughts are quickly replaced by her smile and contagious laughter. I know I'll miss her terribly but I also know that I'll carry her in my heart forever.

Dear Gregory, Valerie, Georgia, Fred, Elana,& Fred, and the Sisters and Brothers and families of Rose,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you face this unexpected reality. Please accept our sincere condolences for this great loss. Pete and I had great respect and a sincere fondness for your mother who was simply put, a class act. Her demeanor, sense of humor, and love of life defined her. A greeting from her made you feel like you were special, because of her sincere concern for how life was going for you. In turn, it did not take much to learn about her love, her devotion to her late husband, and to all of you, her children, grandchildren, and her siblings..She was a beautiful, classy lady who we will never forget. We are sorry we could not be there to personally pay our respects to a very special lady. She will live forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her..."Everlasting be her memory" We loved her and we will miss her.

Rose was a wonderful lady who lived every one of her days! Her enthusiasm for life was an inspiration! We lived in the same building in Leisure World, and I was privileged to call her my "Scrabble friend." We usually met once a week, and Rose was very skillful at the game. We also played "Words for Friends" on our phones. I will miss her!

Mrs Prakas, was the one in a million Lady that seemed to be here for the benefit of others. Her charming disposition was relaxing and gave the impression that everything will be alright. I loved being around her.

I worked with Rose at the Naval School of Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. A wonderful person and co-worker, Rose brought sunshine to all who came in contact with her. I will always think of her with love and friendship. Rose will truly be missed and I consider myself blessed to have known her.

Rose Was like a Second Grandmother to me, she was a next door neighbor of mine in Bethesda, She attended my Wedding in 2009, that meant a great deal to me, she meant a lot to me.

Rose had MANY "adopted" children - she was MY second mom too! For 49 years she touched my life and inspired me to be a better person. She was always cheerful and full of laughter. I always knew I was loved when I was in her presence. The world is a little darker place because she has left it. I love you Maw!

Rose was not only my dearest friend, she was my hero, my role model and my inspiration. I became a better person because of her and how she lived her life, and she will always have a special place in my heart. I will love her and miss her always.

Mrs. Prakas was my second mother for fifty years. She was a gem among jewels, always generous, compassionate, enthusiastic and in a good mood. You could never feel sad or hungry after a visit to her house. I will miss her gentle voice and her warm smile. I will think of her whenever my turkeys follow me on my farm chores as they did to her one afternoon.
