Herman David Berardi (Age 77)
On Tuesday, July 26, 2016, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved father of Stephen (Sharon) Berardi and Nicole Berardi; grandfather of James and Joseph Kirk, Caroline, Nicholas and Luke Berardi. Also survived by his sister, Loretta Slotnik. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Monday, August 1, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, 12319 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, on Tuesday, August 2, at 1 p.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Hank was one of the kindest people I know. I am sorry I was not around to be more supportive in his final days. He was absolutely in love with his children and grand children and even treated me as one of his own. I was his computer guy years ago and he introduced me to the world of insurance where he proudly served hundreds of families and was a top producer. Love you buddy.

Mr. Berardi was a wonderfully warm and kind man. I always enjoyed talking to him and hearing his stories. He loved his children and grandchildren, and he once told me that my friendship with Nicole made him consider me almost a second father for her. He could not have given me a greater compliment. I will miss his smile, his laugh and his love of life.
