Memories and Condolences

Not sure what to say?

My 70th

Remembering Howard as a young man - causing havoc with a science experiment in his bedroom, and walking me all over Seattle, and taking me to see Ben Hur. Howard was my Dad's youngest brother. Sister Jean and nine nieces and nephews survive him. God grant you all strength in the coming days and weeks ahead.

It was always a pleasure to work with you and I have greatly appreciated your keen insights and willingness to look at far out-of-the-box approaches. We will miss you greatly.

We miss you, Howard! Throughout these 30 years, we have had some fun times at the movies and at our monthly “Congresses.” After the movies and during our monthly “Congresses”, we had engaging discussions (Or should I call them intense debates?) about Physics, Knot Theory, Topological Quantum Computing, the Spacetime Tangent Bundle, Quantum Field Theory, Algebraic Topology, Finslerian Geometry, Philosophy, Art, and Religion. Whenever I start to read a scientific work, I will be reminded of you and our engaging discussions.

Bonnie and I will continue to remember you when we visit Marilyn to take in a movie and dinner at PF Chang's!

What a brilliant mind and a true "Renaissance" man! You are with God and encouraging all of us!

I have been a friend and scientific colleague and collaborator of Howard Brandt for 20 years. I was greatly saddened to hear of his death.

Howard was a brilliant scientist filled with a passionate quest for the the mathematical truths of Nature. He will be greatly missed by all of us in the physics community.

Howard was a founder and champion of the fields of quantum information and quantum technologies. His views were always welcome and always accurate and to the point. The physics community mourns his passing but his legacy will live on long after his death.

From Star Stuff we came and unto Star Stuff we shall return. God speed, Howard Brandt, God speed.
