ISABEL FRANCES MICHAELS (Age 95)
On Tuesday, February 9, 2016, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of the late Andrew Frank Michaels, Jr.; mother of Andrew, III (the late Frances), David, Daniel (Donna) and Jeffry Michaels; grandmother of Katie Haslup and Emily Michaels Borja; great-grandmother of Madelyn and Vincent Haslup. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Monday, February 15 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 12319 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, 20904, on Tuesday, February 16 at 11:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. My mother (now98) and Isabel were friends when they both lived on Haskins place. We will miss her friendship, especially our lunches at IHOP.

My husband & I shared an apartment with Isabel & her husband in Florida during the war. We remained friends & I would visit her in Silver Spring when I went to visit my daughter, Jill, who also lives in Silver Spring. I always treasured our friendship. I send my love, sympathy and prayers to the family.

Isabel and my mother Frances Dougherty (now 96 years old) were best friends in the 1950s, and remained in touch over the years. I remember "Mrs. Michaels" with fondness - she was a fun neighborhood mom. I will keep her and her family in my prayers.
