On Wednesday, October 29, 2014, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Jackie Mann; father of Jesse, Kaitlin, and Megan; son of Dr. Jesse and Anne Mann; brother of Maureen Ritz and Angela Mann. Relatives and friends may call at Holy Redeemer Church, Summit Ave. and Cable Drive, Kensington, MD, Sunday, November 2, 2014, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Aloysius Gonzaga Church, 900 North Capitol Street, NW (at Eye Street), Washington, DC, on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 5 p.m. Interment private. Our hearts are broken as we remember a kind and engaging cousin who brought caring, humor and genuine interest to all he interacted with. I have fond memories of seeing the respect he displayed and remember how he and his Aunt Mary enjoyed having intellectual discussions on issues of the day. I am so sorry to hear the news of Michael's passing. Though I did not personally know Michael, I knew his wonderful wife, Jackie. We have not seen each other for years but a friendship never ends. Michael was the best son, brother, father, husband and my cousin. He was someone to be in awe of. So kind, handsome and bright. My prayers are for everyone who loved Michael, especially Jesse and Ann, children should never go first.
