On Saturday, November 1, 2014, of Gaithersburg, MD. Beloved husband of Betty Hopkins; father of Laurinda (Richard) Taliaferro and the late Michael (Carole) and Karen Hopkins; grandfather of Ashley Taliaferro and Richard Hopkins. Visitation at Silver Spring United Methodist Church (formerly Woodside UMC) 8900 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 12:30 p.m., where a Memorial Service will follow at 1 p.m. Interment George Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Montgomery Hospice-Casey House, 1355 Piccard Drive, Suite 100, Rockville, MD 20850 or to the church. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com
