JANET LEE BODY (Age 84)
On Wednesday, December 28, 2016, of Chevy Chase, MD, passed away peacefully with family by her side. Beloved wife of 63 years to John Joseph Body; and mother of Judy Body (Mike) Callahan, John (Meg) Body, Jane Body (Larry) Roussil, Jan Body (Brian) Golden. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Frank and Thelma Poulter; sister of the late Jane Poulter Ellis and Jack Poulter. Relatives and friends may call at Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament Chapel, 5949 Western Ave. NW, Washington, DC, Tuesday, January 3, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment Parklawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Body was my teacher and basketball coach in the early 70's at Blessed Sacrament. She was the first coach I ever played for and my love for basketball started with her, even when girls played under completely different rules than the boys. She had such an incredible impact on so many lives. My thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family.

I am so sorry for your family's loss. I taught with Mrs. Body at BSS back in the 70s. She was the gym teacher. I loved her sense of humor when we would meet in the lunch room. My prayers and thoughts go out to her family. RIP
