JEAN MARDEN CASWELL (Age 93)
On Friday, November 17, 2017, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of Randall S. Caswell for 72 years; mother of Virginia Lee Caswell, Anne Marden Flynn, Ellen Sue Caswell, Julia Caswell Daitch, and the late Wendy Jean and William Edward Caswell; grandmother of Jean, Brian, Jennifer, Sean, Caitlin, and Allison; great-grandmother of Ben, Emma, Billy, and Kate; sister of William Leroy Miller; mother-in-law of Jean H. Caswell, Brian Flynn, and William Daitch. Professor of art history for 17 years at the University of Maryland, College Park. Memorial Service will be celebrated at Christ Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 9525 Colesville Road, Silver Spring, MD 20901 on Saturday, November 25, at 1 p.m. Private Interment Baltimore National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Congregational Church UCC.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

My sincere condolences to your family and your friends. I was lucky enough to have Mrs. Caswell as my sculpture and art history teacher at Montgomery Blair High school between 1969 and 1971. I am not exaggerating when I say that she had positive impact on my life and greatly influenced my future career choices. I will be forever grateful that I had Mrs. Caswell as a teacher.
