JEAN PHYLLIS LePINE (Age 90)
On Wednesday, January 14, 2015, of Silver Spring, MD. Jean graduated from Oswego State College with her Master's Degree in Education. She proudly taught for thirty years at Gallaudet College for the Deaf, and Arcola Elementary School. Beloved wife of the late Thomas John Patrick LePine "Jack"; mother of Andrea (Phil) Samet and Tom (Carrie) LePine; sister of Betty (Ted) Thrasher. Also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd. West, Silver Spring, MD, on Monday, January 19, at 11 a.m. Interment Gate Of Heaven. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

Mrs.. LePine was my teacher at Arcola Elementary in 1963. She was gentle, caring and beloved. I am thankful to have had such a wonderful and nurturing teacher. I am so sorry for your loss....

Mrs. LePine was my first grade teacher at Arcola Elementary and I have NEVER forgotten her!
She was gracious and encouraging and definitely left a lifelong impression. What a fantastic teacher.
I fell so lucky to have been her student.

Uncle Jack and Aunt Jean were always so nice to me when I became part of the LePine Family.

Andrea and Tom, I was sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Have such fond childhood memories spending time with your family. Jean was such a great friend for my mom, always knowing what she needed and having that gift of knowing just what to say. Our hearts go out to you.
