Joan M. Murphy (Age 79)
On Wednesday, March 7, 2018, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife for 60 years of Bill Murphy; mother of Kevin (Karen), Donna (Gregg) Seko, Daniel, Maureen (Mark) Malo, Michael (Rachel) and Megan (Dan) Powers. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Sunday, March 11, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Church, Norbeck and Muncaster Mill Rds., Rockville, MD, on Monday, March 12, at 11 a.m. Graveside service will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, on Tuesday, March 13, at 10:30 a.m. Contributions, in her memory, may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

I will remember Joan as the classy, warm, dedicated, ever-giving President & member of the MMMC Women's Board whom I loved working with over many years. Her face always lit up when we spoke of her family. She will be missed. May she rest in peace.
