My heartfelt condolences to all of "his" girls, I am sorry for the loss of your Father.
I have so many wonderful memories of "Big John" as we called him, he played such a big role in my life growing up. The love and support his incredible big smile, hearty laugh and Redskin football games. I will always treasure the memories. My heart is heavy with sadness but I know he has gone to the kingdom where he will be forever in peace.

Sorry for your loss. I know how tough it is to lose both parents so close. Never met your Dad, but just knowing Angie, he had to have been a hella of a guy.........

I culled this photo from FB, which was posted by one of John's classmates on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of Western High's Class of 1960.

Although I hadn't seen you in eons, I always remembered you, John (or, as we used to call you, "Johnny") ... you had THE most amazingly beautiful eyes ... and you were one of the good guys, for sure. Mostly, I remember our days of hanging out in Mt. Pleasant with your brother, Jack (I had a crush on you, but you were four years older than I ... which, at the time, was like a century). I wish I'd had the chance to see you again ... but at least I'll always have my memories. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family at this time.
