My wife and I came to know and love John not only as a friend but for the true gentleman that he was. His zest for life, his humor and his strength when facing his health problems was inspiring. We enjoyed his company in our home and the dinners and get togethers with other friends, the stories of his life and the laughter we shared with him. We will miss him very much and think of him fondly when
Holidays come around. Even though we no longer even though we no longer live in Maryland, all our condolences and prayers go out to his family. John we will miss you.

He was my best friend and my personal cheerleader. He showed me how to be kind, to love each and everyone you get to meet, and to appreciate each day as my last because "life is so precious". He wished that everyone would have the chance to have a friendship as pure and real as ours.
Mr. John, Dexter and I love you very much, you will never be forgotten.
Thank you for being my buddy.

It takes a special person to take on the challenge of raising a second family as your own. My dad was that special. He had such a love and appreciation for life. I love you with all my heart.
