I rode with Jack and the PPTC from 1976 to 2005. He was a fine person and a great ride leader. I especially remember his architectural tours. Will miss him.

I rode with Jack many times over the years and always looked forward to seeing him - on the road and later, at PPTC meetings. I missed him this month and now know why. Ride, gently onward, Jack.

It was apparent to everyone who knew Jack for even a short time that he was a perfect gentleman in the truest meaning of the word. Well educated, an outstanding father, courteous to all, committed to his community and to his faith, inquisitive about whatever he came upon, sharing and humble. I knew Jack through bicycling that was one of his life-long loves. On countless rides Jack made my day so much better. Bicycling was one way Jack connected to people and enhanced their enjoyment of nature, architecture, history, culture, diversity, our community and the spirit of life. I miss him so much as do so many of my friends. We are forever indebted to Jack for his fellowship.
