JOHN MICHAEL LANIER
On Monday, August 18, 2014 of Fort Washington, MD. Beloved son of the late Edith and John Lanier. Also survived by many cousins. Mr. Lanier was an Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War serving in Korea. After Korea he finished his military service at the Pentagon, then working there as a civilian until his retirement. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking) Sunday, August 24, from 2 to 4 p.m. Interment private. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

My deepest condolences on behalf of the DC Chapter of the Black Tie Club International. J M Lanier was a charter member of the club (1998) and religiously attended each Spring and Fall dining events. He will be sorely missed. Requiescat in pace.
