'we were so sorry to hear of Fr. John's passing. We only knew Fr. John for a short time but he was a kind and caring priest. He had a great smile and we will always remember what a blessing he was to us.

My wife and I met Fr. John when we first became parishioners of St. Patrick's in Rockville where he was serving back in 2000. He was so welcoming, and personable. So sad to see you go Fr. John. May Heaven welcome you with all its splendor.

Fr.John was such a gentle soul with a great smile and sense of humor. He holds a special place in my heart as a cousin and for blessing my newborn Jeremy at the hospital and baptizing my older boys. RIP John.

With so many fond memories of a kind and loving nephew and cousin. Watching him grow up, and into his calling, was a lifelong blessing for all of us.

I worked with Fr. Clark in the office at Sacred Heart in Bowie. Almost immediately, we connected. His sense of humor meshed perfectly with mine. But there was so much more to him than that! He was a great priest and friend. He easily connected with people - young, old, children, teens - and especially the sick. I arranged his schedule for him and he'd devote hours of his day to making Communion calls. In addition to bringing the Blessed Sacrament, he would actualy visit with and get to know the homebound. It made such a difference to them! He understood illness all too well and I think that made him even more compassionate. I feel so blessed to have had him in my life. Eternal rest grant unto him oh Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. My prayers are with his mother, siblings and friends who loved him dearly.

Fr. John This was indeed a shock for me to learn about your passing. Even though their may have some ups and downs for two friends there was always real caring between us. When we chatted this June I I truly thought you were on the mend. Miss You

Father John was such a wonderful soul. When my father in law was dying, he met Father John who was chaplain at Sibley Hospital. Father John spent a great deal of time with dad, even after he went home in his last months, and was a source of comfort to all of us.
It was a blessing to become friends with Father John from that day forward, and we enjoyed a wonderful visit from Father John to our home in Maine exactly one year ago, and we were hoping he'd be well enough to make it up again. He accepted his many challenges and illnesses with such dignity, humility and grace. He was such a power of example of following God's will in everything. He was truly God's faithful servant. we love you and will never forget you, Father John.
