John T. Pertino (Age 92)
On Tuesday, August 23, 2016, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Doris I. Pertino and the late Mary DeGraba Pertino; father of John C. Pertino and Mary Catherine Tennyson; grandfather of Kristin Pertino, and Amanda and Laura Schmidt; brother of the late Sereno, Mary, Amelia, Frances, and Sammy. Also survived by nieces, nephews and family members. A native of Washington, D.C., John was a US Navy veteran of WWII. After the war, John became the owner/operator of Kensington Shoe Repair for more than 30 years. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, 20901, Monday, August 29, from 10 to 11 a.m. for viewing, followed by a memorial service celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com
