JON MICHAEL WIDRICK, J.D. (Age 38)  
Jon M. Widrick of Silver Spring, MD, passed away in the hospital on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, after a sudden illness.  Jon was born on February 14, 1977, in Lowville, NY. He graduated magna cum laude from Fordham University in 1999 and received his juris doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center in 2002. In 2010, Jon founded the Ascensus Law Firm and dedicated his career to empowering for-profit companies to do public good. Beloved by all who knew him, Jon will be remembered for his humor, wisdom, loyalty, passion for Syracuse athletics and the Buffalo Bills, and connoisseurship of wine.  He was the loving husband of Morgan Whitlatch; devoted son of Wendy Kampnich and her husband, Lynn and Dale Widrick and his wife, Debbie; caring brother of Melanie Lunn and Travis Widrick; loyal brother-in-law of Marc Lunn and Hilary Whitlatch; supportive uncle of Allison, Hailey, and Carlee Lunn and Archer Widrick; and kind grandson of Robert and Muriel Widrick. He was predeceased by grandparents, the late Francis and Margaret Griffiss Houppert, Jean Ruffing Thomas and Ellen Kampnich. He is survived by many other loving relatives and friends.  Memorial services will be held at the Lowville Mennonite Church, 7705 Ridge Rd., Lowville, NY 13367 on December 31, 2015 at 11 a.m.; and at the Sheraton Silver Spring Hotel, Magnolia Ballroom, 8777 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20910 on January 23, 2016 at 3 p.m. Interment will be private.
