JOSEPH D. CAPOBIANCHI (Age 60)
On Saturday, March 10, 2018 of Poolesville, MD. Beloved husband of Maria Pizzino; father of Annamaria and Gabriella Capobianchi; brother of Anthony Capobianchi, Josephine (Joseph) Marion and Rita (Darrell) Bauguess; son of the late Fernando and Anna Capobianchi. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Thursday, March 15 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Shrine of St. Jude, 12701 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. Entombment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. You were a good friend, loyal and true
You were Italian, I, a Jew
But we had a bond, shared by few
Held together, though the years flew
When we first met, both aged ten
I remember where and when
"What's your name?", I asked then
"Joe," a name I would call again and again
We shared secrets no one will know
You defended me, shielding many a blow
Of that fight we shared in the snow
You saved me with your bulls-eye throw
We rode bikes, fixed them when broke
Made up movies and shared many a joke
Played pool and snuck a smoke
You hit home runs with your powerful stroke
In croquet you set the ball aflight
On New Years eve we stayed up all night
Took my side when in a fight
Count on you to do what's right
At St. John's, when you were a teen
Your first Camaro, color green
I saw you off to be a Marine
Never lost touch in the time between
Although each got on with his life
Generosity in you was rife
You always avoided strife
And you merited a worthy wife
Whenever I see Abbot and Costello
I think of how you enjoyed that fellow
To your children, a gift to bestow
An example of a life to follow
You will be with us, you should know.

JO JO, I have often thought of times when we first met and when I married your Sister, Rita, and then I returned from Vietnam. You were there...you even like my ARMY Boots and I gave them to you...You kept them shined! Then you worked with us and the many Korean meals we ate at lunch. The Kisses you gave the girls, Lisa and Giovanna, and the hugs to David. You were there and we were Family...we debated, argued and laughed. I miss those days and I will miss you.
