Joe's name comes up so often during conversation! It's surprising how much of an impact on our lives while he was here. He was so kind and patient to all who worked with him. I'm glad to say I was a recipient of that kindness and patience. He was the best "boss" I during my 44 years as a federal employee. They sure don't make them like him anymore. We continue to miss your quick wit.

Oh my goodness, it can't have been that long since you left us. We speak of you often and Marty still refers to you as her favorite boss of all. Since she has pulmonary fibrosis, she may be joining you, hopefully in Heaven, in the not too distant future. Have you yet run out of your store of puns? We miss you so much and hope you how much you are loved.

It doesn't seem possible that 4 years have gone by. We miss you as much today as 4 years ago. No doubt you are still telling those really bad jokes up there and entertaining all the other angels. Please know that we think about you often and miss you still.

It's been three long years since you left us. You are always in our thoughts and we miss you more than you can imagine. So often your name will come up when we talk about the old days at NIH/FDA. Probably the best boss I've ever had and the one with the absolute best sense of humor. Look down on us and give us strength.

My Father Joseph P. O'Malley Sr. whose kindness and wisdom taught us to respect and accept life with an understanding that we all are blessed and acceptance of all people for whom they are enhances our lives and experiences. I as his son miss his smiling eyes and laughter which I hold dear to my heart. Thank all those whom knew and shared your time in this life with him. He will be greatly missed and held within my heart to we see one another again.
Joseph P O'Malley Jr your Son always.

Dr. Joe O'Malley was my go-to-guy at the American Red Cross National Headquarters for 13 years. Whenever there was a federal regulatory issue, Joe was my first resource. He was a treasury of information and gave it in detail, accurately and with a smile. If Dr. Joe O'Malley gave us advice on a regulatory issue, we knew that our position was solid and we were never questioned about that matter by the FDA. We, that is the American Red Cross, were fortunate to have Joe as a resource.

Joe was my Mom's cousin and always shared such wonderful stories and memories of her that I cherish. Ken and I remember our fun visits to see you and Elaine in DC. Remember that incredible Red Sox v. Orioles game we watched on TV?! Your brilliance, kindness and warm sense of humor will be forever missed.
