Beloved wife of the late Osvaldo Bazques; mother of Hilda Newman, Eric (Arlene) Basques, and Sylvia (Howard) Popkin; grandmother of Lisa Conlon, Brendan Walters, Marissa Popkin, Russell (Sarah) Popkin, Kyle Basques, Forrest Popkin, Bryce Basques, Richard Popkin, and Ryan Basques; great-grandmother of Matthew, Joseph, and Isabella. Memorial Mass at St. John the Baptist Church, 12319 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 10 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Lisa, I'm so sorry for your loss. My heart goses out to you and your family. It's been 4 years on the 18th that I lost my brother. I still feel so very sad sometimes. However as time goes by it's easier to focus on the wonderful memories I have of him. My hope for you is that as time goes by you will be able to reflect on your most enjoyable memories of your grandmother with joy instead of the sadness her passing brings.
