Karabelle Alicia Lastique Pizzigati (Age 65)
On Friday, June 12, 2015, of Kensington, MD. Beloved wife of Sam Pizzigati; mother of Nicholas (Ixchel) Solomon Pizzigati and the late Antonio Thomas Pizzigati; grandmother of Pablo and Bianca Pizzigati. Relatives and friends may call at Holy Cross Church, 4900 Strathmore Avenue, Garrett Park, MD, on Monday, June 22 from 10:30 to 11 a.m., where Memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Karabelle Pizzigati Fund, payable and sent to the University of Maryland College Park Foundation, 4603 Calvert Road, College Park, MD 20740.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

My friend and schoolmate at Notre Dame Convent School in NYC shall always be remembered by me as being an elegant and smart young woman. At the time, she was striving to become a medical doctor and inspired us to be kind and compassionate and studious. In addition to all of her talents and kindness she was such a beautiful person.
She will be sorely missed by me.

Sam, I met Karabelle when she worked at Child Welfare League and later invited her to consult on a project we were working on at Georgetown University. I loved spending time with her on the project. She was so competent, committed, caring, and such a joy to work with. I'm very sorry to learn of her passing and wish you well during this difficult time. Jan McCarthy

To the Pizzigati Family, may God's love surround you during this time of sadness. Sam thank you for letting Karabelle be such an active member & supporter of NASBE. It was one of my high times getting the opportunity to work with her. And to listen to the stories of your grandchildren, she knew I looked forward to seeing their pictures and she would always have a great story to accompany them. May God continue to strengthen you.

I am very sorry for the families loss. Please overcome these difficult times with the hope God has given us through his word for the near future. John 5:25-29 gives us an overview of what he has planned for humanity. These verses can bring hope and peace to you and your family.
