As with Gary Bowser, I first met Kathy while overseeing FSLIC's closing operations in the mid 1980's. I remember being so impressed with the way she managed the whole process. It wasn't until the start-up of DCA at FDIC in 1994/95 that I again met Kathy, where we shared an appreciation for the management of the Division. When DCA was terminated and there was nowhere for me to go, it was Kathy who said I'll put up with him. I thank her every day for taking on that burden. For a decade I served at her request, where she made history in the Deposit Insurance Section. It was an honor working for her. I will truly miss her friendship and the memories we shared.

I first met Kathy in the mid-1980s when I was a GAO Audit Manager assigned to the Bank Board and FSLIC reviews. I immediately developed respect for her professional competence and sought her input and guidance many times over the next 3 decades. As the years went by we also developed a friendship and trust that would allow us to share personal feelings about work without fear of disclosure. We often talked about the important things in life---our families and crazy dogs. Finally, Neurotic Nick's separation anxiety is over.

Kathy took a chance on me as a new hire at FSLIC, and I became part of the FSLIC family. I'm so fortunate that she did because that initial interaction served as the catalyst for almost 30 years of being colleagues and friends--but mostly friends.
May Kathy's goodness and love of family always provide wonderful memories.
My deepest condolences.

What a wonderful, kind person! Kathy was a wonderful soul, quiet in her own ways, never raised her voice, and one with an accepting nature; very welcoming and friendly. You will be missed by the Dwyers' .

I know words cannot really help the Nagle family right now, but please know how very much we at the FDIC care and feel for you in your loss.
Kathy was such a generous and inspiring individual. Personally, I will miss her smile and laugh very much. We are so saddened by losing her from our lives.

I've been trying to remember how I met Kathy - let's just say it was a really long time ago. It seems like I've always known her. So many positive moments stand out - above all is her love of life and her kindness towards everyone. She will be greatly missed.

I met Kathy on a long flight from Honolulu following a FSLIC S&L
Closing. By the end of the flight we were great friends which we remained for many years. To say she will be missed would be an understatement.
