KATHLEEN O'HEARN TITUS (Age 93)
On Friday, December 12, 2014, of Bethesda, MD. Beloved wife of the late Douglas J. Titus; mother of Courtney Joncas, Helaina Titus, Douglas Titus, Jr., John Titus, Suzanne Titus-Johnson and the late Geri Titus; grandmother of Michael Joncas, Ty Joncas, Katherine Vazquez, Matthew Joncas, Sam Johnson, Maggie Johnson and Nick Johnson. Also survived by 10 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Church of the Little Flower, 5601 Massachusetts Ave., Bethesda, MD on Friday, December 19, starting at 11 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12 noon. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Georgetown Prep, Georgetown Visitation or Gonzaga College High School.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

Courtney and all the Tituses children - your dear mother was my godmother. The last time we spoke was after my own mother's death in 2007. I will never forget the sound of her voice. She had such a gentle and lovely way of speaking. I know you will all miss her terribly, but take comfort in knowing how much she loved you and how proud she was of you all, children and grandchildren. She was a truly exceptional woman. Babe, my second mother for four years at Prep. She was truly a great lady and raised a wonderful family. She had such a good sense of humor about our antics, which I am sure would have worn down lesser mothers. I will miss her.

Mrs. Titus had a special place in our lives. I have many childhood memories of being in the Titus household doing everyday things with Geri and Suzanne as well as lovely parties from tea to graduation. Mrs. Titus was the best example of gracious entertaining that I always loved and admired. Rick respected her beautiful spirit and truly enjoyed being around her love. We learned a lot from Babe Titus!

Dear Titus family,
I am so sorry, and so saddened by the passing of your wonderful mother. How lucky you were to call her Mom for so many decades. I'll never forget the many visits she made to our home, from the early days of "cocktail hour" at Melrose Street, to the school years, noisy pets and kids everywhere, to the final years and days she was my mother Eugenia's constant, dearest friend to the end of her own life. Your mother's strength of character, her compassion, beauty, humor, the twinkle in her eye, love of family and all-over loveliness will stay with me always. She was a one-of-a-kind human being, and I am so blessed by knowing her.
