Just heard this evening that sweet Aunt Kathryn has passed. She was one fine lady who in her gracious and gentle manner set such a great example. I loved witnessing her long and dear friendship with my mom, Edie, as those two were true soul sisters. They shared many laughs and tears together and baby clothes and grown up lady clothes. Thanks for the memories. Aunt Edie will be welcoming her into the pearly gates!

I never met Kathryn, but feel like I knew her because of all the wonderful stories I have heard from my dear and long time friend Barbie. I know Kathryn will be greatly missed, but will live on in her wonderful and loving family. Rest in peace Kathryn.

Moth, Mothball, "Babe". Whatever name you chose to call her, she was one of a kind.Such a rich and full life and so, so many memories. 10 children AND Gratian, which must at times seemed like adding another 5 or 6 to the brood;driving to Grace Cooper's with a carload of kids and friends, and trying to keep them all in the car while stopping for gas in Denton; Larks;Tanqueray (wink wink);the laundry, OMG the laundry;her dismay that groceries from Safeway had risen to $5 a bag when she remembers when it was $2, Imagine!!!"Girls, go find your father and his car, the car first!"Staying in the hospital to "rest" after Sean was born (which my mother declared "brilliant"; "Tay, come over and get Sean, he wants new shoes and lunch at The Tombs";club sandwiches at Kenwood; her purse (MO!!!!!); her worry gene (Bemer);Wuss attached to her hip and him getting sick whenever she did and his running down the hill on Edgewater after she sneaked out without him; THE WHISTLE and so many more. I don't ever remember her getting truly mad at us, but if she was "disappointed" in you it was crushing. She was grace under pressure, patient, elegant, loving, funny AND fun, witty and sympathetic to any and all woes. She was a gem, loved and admired by all who had the priviledge to know her.She will be sorely missed, but who left a wonderful legacy which will live on through them. Godspeed Moth. I love you.
