I was one of Lt Col Shea's troops at JCSE when he was a Capt. He was the Charlie Company (Quick Reation Company) Commander and I was his 1st Platoon Switch section chief. I did fill in as his Systems chief and 1st Platoon Sergeant at times. He was a great commander. Always there along side, "leading" his troops. I remember his visit to Panama when we were TDY for an exercise. Also the night before a C Company exercise that he came and personnaly visited me in the emergency room at Macdill AFB hospital after I was in a car accident. He was the military image imbodied. We have lost another good Marine, Military man, husband, father, and friend. God speed and hope to see ya one day up there in heaven.
