Kieran Kelley (Age 58)
On Thursday, December 3, 2015, of McLean, VA, formerly of Rockville and Chevy Chase, MD. Beloved husband of Carleen Barnocky Kelley; loving father of Erin Anne Constance and Brian Joseph Kieran Kelley; son of the late John T. and the late Constance Conboy Kelley; brother of John Tyrone (Phyllis) and Martin Conboy (Kristen) Kelley; son-in-law of Guy and Joan Barnocky. Also survived by many other family members and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Tuesday, December 8 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and at St. Patrick's Church, Norbeck & Muncaster Mill Roads, Rockville, MD, on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 from 10 to 11 a.m., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment private. Kieran was the first person to extend his hand of friendship to me when I started my career at NIH. There are NO words that I can use to express just how much he meant to me and how much I will miss him. He was a man of great integrity and loved his family and was proud of his children. God's timing is not always understood, especially when he takes such a good soul so soon. But he only takes those good souls when he needs another precious angel. I was fourteen years old and we had just moved to Chappaqua. Kieran had just been born in May and Mom thought I should go mother's help Cokie with Kieran and Martin. I have lots of memories of that month or two, but mostly of me and Ty getting in trouble over a pillow fight that broke a lamp cover at the top of the house. There was also a calamitous trip to Ocean City which did not sit well with anyone. Still, we experienced alot in that time. No fair that Kieran was taken so young. What a terrific person he became. Will treasure our family get together in your backyard maybe five years ago? I will always miss his spirit. What a loss.

I am in total shock. Kieran was one of my most cherished child hood friends. If had a dollar for hour we played football and baseball at Perry's Field I would be richer than Bill Gates. Like his brother Martin, he was a good athlete, but he was also at the same time friendly, kind, but most of all he was one of the funniest and most entertaining people I have ever met. The amount of laughter he brought to my life in those days is incalculable. His parents were the salt of the earth and I am certain he is with them now. You have my deepest condolences. I will never be able to look at whats left of Perry's Field again without thinking about him.
