Larry was simply an all-around great guy and a pleasure to be with!

I clicked on "friend" because although I was a client of his, our relationship was more like friendship. I always looked forward to exchanging stories of our families while enjoying Larry's dry sense of humor. It was a privilege to have known him!

I just heard the news, being chronically late w/ taxes, and am completely stunned. Larry was a miracle worker, helping my wife and I out from under self inflicted tax burdens. He was a wonderful and self less person that will be missed. Sending all my love to your family, Larry. God Speed.

I didn't know him personally, but I do know how special he was to you all. My most heartfelt sympathies and prayers are with you all.

I first met Larry ages ago playing racquetball. We talked and learned that out daughters went to Magruder HS together. We became friends and then I became a client. Though we used an old four wheeled mail box in his yard to exchange paperwork so we hadn't actually seen each other in years, every time we talked it was like we saw each other everyday. Larry was truly a great, one-of-a-kind guy! My best wishes to all of his family and friends

Our family has lost a very dear and old friend and the world has lost a fine and caring person.
I've known Larry since starting elementary school in Wheaton, Md. We grew up together, living only two doors apart. All of the Pagliai family became special and close friends. We were very fortunate to be their neighbors and each of the family became a special, lifelong friend.
Larry was my mother's accountant as well and was so caring and helpful when we lost her.
He will be missed by many.

Larry was an exceptional human being. He was my accountant for the last 15 years. His kindness, acceptance, thoughtfulness, honesty, and love for his family is what I felt every time I visited him at his office. I always looked forward to the tax season only because I knew I would visit Larry. I will truly miss him and feel blessed to have known such a wonderful man. My deepest condolences to his entire family. Rest in peace my friend.

Larry has done my taxes for nearly 30 years. He seemed more a friend than a business man. I've never looked forward to taxes but always looked forward to speaking with Larry. He always had that human touch and he will be greatly missed.

Larry was a very kind man and an excellent accountant. He always made me feel welcome in his office and like he had all the time in the world and nothing was more important than my taxes. I don't know the word in Italian, but Larry was a MENSCH. He was a blessing in our world.

Larry--a wonderful person over so many years. A friend, accountant, a help any time needed. We enjoyed many Redskins games at the house and I remember his yard where no tree or shrub could be harmed. Always a help and never a bad word. We watched our children grow and compared grandchildren photos. Linda and I will miss him so. To his family my condolences for their loss.

Larry did my tax returns for the last 15 years. I'd look forward to talking to him every year at tax time and sharing family stories. When I think of him now, I remember him greeting me from his desk, surrounded by piles of paper. The world needs kind people like him. He will be missed.

Sugar Lar. This is devastating news. Larry taught me everything I know about bookkeeping and was so patient with me. I've known Larry for 30 years at least. Not only was he my accountant for many years, he was also my financial advisor who always forced me to save money in an IRA. Every time I went to his office, I wanted to organize it and clean it up, yet, he would never let me.

Larry was one of the funniest people I've ever known and was Bruce Springsteen's biggest fan. My heart goes out to his family and all his friends. A very special light has been extinguished. My deepest and heartfelt condolences to all.

I used to help Larry around his office and, more than anything, would beg him to let me organize his space. Our days spent together was so special to me. I will miss our talks, his endless generosity, and his messy mounds of paperwork more than anyone could imagine. Truly the most kind person I ever hope to meet. I hope Heaven is filled with endless black coffee, carrot cake, and shots of tequila on April 15th. Thank you for everything. Until we meet again...

I moved here last fall and went to Larry for early tax help. I so enjoyed talking to him about his family and our mutual love for cats. I liked and trusted him immediately and it sounds like he made friends everywhere he went. Please accept my condolences.

Hello, Dear Family.
I was proud to call Larry Cousin. So many summers spent in Maryland and at the beach. Those are great memories I will always cherish. I'm saddened and feel empty that he's not here physically with us. But, we will all rejoice as we reunite in Heaven one day... and it will be glorious. I love you all. Judy

Dear Carla, I remember you , Larry and your wonderful friendly parents from the old neighborhood at Republic and Dunkirk. Your sweet Dad always walked his dog and was always the most friendly guy in the neighborhood. I am very sorry for the horrible loss of your brother Larry. I have fond memories of my childhood and seeing your family in the neighborhood. I believe my father may have sold your parents that house on Dunkirk.God Bless you . Candy Clagett

Larry was a charming and delightful guy. He was our "tax man" for many years, and it was always a pleasure to visit his office. We joked a lot. Now we are in Williamsburg, and have not seen him for a few years, but we miss him. We send our very sincere condolences to his family.

I live in the neighborhood several streets over and did not know Mr. Pagliai. However, I lost my father suddenly and tragically several years ago and know the pain you all must be feeling. Just so very sad. I wish his family comfort and support at this most difficult time.

I have treasured memories hanging out with Mr. Pagliai and 'Big Kel' at the house, especially during high school. He was one of the gentlest spirits I ever met. And one of the coolest, most loving and devoted Fathers. And now Grandfather. My heart goes out to the entire family who loved him so dearly. May he rest in peace and continue to comfort us all with his peaceful presence.
