LOUIS CARUSO (Age 102)
On Friday, August 26, 2016, of Hyattsville, MD. Veteran of WWII. Beloved uncle of Donna Caruso-Hirst; great-uncle of Kim and Kodi Hirst and Teagan and Kai Careaga; dear friend of Gino Marinucci and his family. Also survived by his long-time caregivers Isatu Williams, Makallay Sesay, Katiatu Kamara, Salamatu Kabba and Aisha Kanu. Lou was a joy and will be missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Wednesday, August 31 from 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, 595 Third Street, NW, Washington, DC, on Thursday, September 1, at 10 a.m. Interment St. Mary''s Cemetery. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

So very thankful for Mr. Caruso's long life and for the special memories of trips to his Catania Bakery with my father. We would leave with huge bags filled with loaves of his freshly baked bread for our family of 11.
Now heaven will be blessed with his bread instead of us.
