LUCIETTA FALCONE (Age 96)
On September 11, 2016 Lucietta Falcone of Kensington, MD passed away. She was born in Roseto Valfortore, Italy on April 17, 1920. The beloved wife of 72 years of Michelino Falcone. Devoted mother to Rosetta (Marty) Mayer, Maria (Rod) Ragan and Antonietta (Michael) McDonald. Cherished grandmother of Michael (Jen) Ragan, Deborah (Rob) Carlsen, Dr. Christina Ragan, Marialisa (Ronan) Primault, Angela Mayer and Rosanna (Joel) Rensberger; greatgrandmother of Sofia and Dean Rensberger, Luke Carlsen and Mathew Ragan. Viewing at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd. West, Silver Spring, MD 20901(Valet Parking), on Friday, September 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass at Holy Rosary Church, 595 Third St. NW, Washington DC 20001, Saturday, September 17 at 11 a.m. Burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD. Although you don't know me I write to offer my condolences on the loss of your parents. I read with interest the obit for your mom. I am Italian and I marveled that she had been married for 72 years and was such a devoted wife and mother. By chance I looked at today's obits to see her photo again and to read that her husband has passed away two days later. I guess he did not want her to go alone. Sincere sympathy to all of you.
