MARJORIE ANN WARD (Age 86)
On Sunday, June 18, 2017, of Hyattsville, MD. Beloved wife of Thomas Vacchi and the late Hugh J. Ward; mother of Kathleen (Mike) Hines, Tom (Theresa), Steve (Beverly), Paul (Sharon) and Tim (Chris) Ward; and sister of Paul (Patricia), John and the late William C. McGarvey. Also survived by eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Tuesday, June 20 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 1006 Larch Avenue, Takoma Park, MD, 20912 on Wednesday, June 22 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Ann was a sweet and kind person who we enjoyed meeting at Church on Sundays. She will truly be missed but we know she is at peace and with our Lord. Our condolences go out to her husband (Tom), her son, Tom, and his wife Theresa and the rest of the family members. We have this picture taken at Ann's wedding and just wanted to share it.

What a special lady Aunt Midge was to me and to our family! She was such a godly woman and will be dearly missed. Aunt Midge did not have a selfish side to her; she had a very generous heart & loving way about her. She was such a blessing to me and my daughter Kristin. I always felt included by Marjorie. One time, I remember she had a gift set aside for me during a family event at her house, which was thoughtful because I don't think she expected me to be there. A beautiful person, inside and out, I am thankful that I had a chance to meet her.
