Mark Thomas Guthrie (Age 18)
On Sunday, February 12, 2017, of Rockville, MD. Beloved son of Robert and Jennifer Guthrie; twin brother of John; brother of Megan, Tyler, Shannon and Luke. He is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, cousins, lifelong friend, Austin Yescas and other family and many friends from Rockville High School and Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) Sports. Relatives and friends may call at St. Catherine Laboure Church, Veirs Mill and Claridge Roads, Wheaton, MD, on Monday, February 20, from 7 to 9 p.m., where Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment All Souls Cemetery, Germantown, MD. Mark was an avid fisherman and 2016 graduate of Rockville High School. He also contributed to his community through participating with Habitat for Humanity. Oh Jen, my heart truly breaks for you. My pastor said something at the funeral of a child I will never forget. He said, "we are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience." While Mark's human experience may be over, his spiritual being is forever.
