I am so sorry to learn of your mother's passing. (I also realized as well that your father has also passed away). Your mother was a wonderful & kind woman with a big personality. I remember when she & my mother first met in the late 1960's working together at the Glenmont Bowling Alley snack bar. In the 1970s, your mother was always so supportive of our time in Job's Daughters. I remember her leading our practice marching drills in the church basement & all the parades she lead us in. Dixie generously bought me a dozen yellow roses for my Installation. In the 1970s and early 1980s, I also have very happy memories of the week long annual summer trips my mother & I would go on with your mom and her sister Gwen to Ocean City, MD. She would lay on the beach & only tan the front of her body, since she couldn't see her back. I remember going to play Bingo with her and other family members in Kensington. She had a wonderful bridal shower for me at your family home. I have so many happy memories of her that I can't even begin to write them all down here. I am sad to hear she is gone and my thoughts and prayers are with the three of you. Love, Janie
